RISC OS Pi - Extra software?

In the hope that we’ll get a new “RISC OS Pi” build when the Pi 4 is supported, I thought it might be an idea to consider what other software could usefully be added to the existing package. So far I’ve only thought of one “must-have” item, but we have to start somewhere. KeyMapper Any more suggestions? |

Browse. Not very useful, but small and OK for documentation. |

I use Raspbian Buster on a Rpi4 and RISC OS on a Rpi3B+. I have come to appreciate a lot of things about the Linux machine, even if my knowledge of Linux is still very superficial. I still use RISC OS for email. RComp’s Messenger Pro and NetFetch allow me to see what email is waiting for me on the server, and to select what I want to download and what I want to delete on the server without downloading. I have not yet come across a means of doing this with Raspbian, though that may be the fault of my ignorance. I have come to appreciate CUPS (Common Unix Printing Software), and the ease of the wireless connection. Obviously use of the Rpi4’s wireless facilities has to be a priority for the Extra software category. |
