Who'll do the "da Vinci" workstation, then?

This has already been explained to you. Edward Detyna passed away several years ago and his family/estate were not interested in carrying on with the work. So its been lost sadly. Although there are still copies of the 2 CD’s with hundreds of fonts that were made available for free still floating around.
It’s never going to happen! you need to come out the dream world (as nice as it might be) and see what actual resources we have for development, i.e. very few. We have someone (ONE person) looking at using multi-cores and indeed there is a test ROM around somewhere, but it does not do a lot, lotsof work to do it properly. We have a modern web browser (Iris) but as it will be in premanent beta I suspect as it is a constant battle to keep up with the moving ‘standards’. It uses the webKit engine I believe. Both ROOL and ROD have been looking at how to move to a 64 bit world in the future somehow with the few resources we have. But 32 bit chips will be around for awhile yet. The new ROD TCP/IP stack can now do IPv6 as well as IPv4 and soon have Wi-Fi if the development work can continue. |

Methinks you’ve never used an IME. I’m not even going to bother with the rest, DNFTT. |

Sveinung, could you do me a favour and download the source and then look at the keyboard handler code? |

Are you trying to light the blue touchpaper, Steve? Nemo pissed on it ages ago, and I’m standing on it in wet boots. |

Nothing a Flammenwerfer won’t sort out, I’m sure. |

I’m betting Rick read it and may still be snickering and giggling tomorrow. |

No, Rick is swearing at you in Québécois 1 while wiping yogurt off the duvet… 1 It’s great for getting crap past the radar, as to most Frenchies it’s just random mispronounced liturgical words. |

What’s new. RISC OS users are an endangered species. We need good new days. |
