Dual Screen

I now have both a LapPi and a PandaBoard ES at home. A few weeks ago, someone noted that since there is now support code in the linux kernel for the DVI port, it should be possible to use it to exploit the second head and extend the size of the riscos framebuffer. IMHO, the best approach would be to “extend with same parameters”. For example, you choose mode 1920×1080/32 on the main screen, then you click a “second screen” option in !Configure and you activate the second screen (total of 3840×1920). Later, if you choose 1360×768/32, you get 2720×768/32 on the desktop, etc. If someone has the knowledge to make this (with, for example two 1920×1080/32bits/60Hz), I really could pay a certain amount of money (ask me) to make this a reality for all the community. My own and very personal bounty :) For me, a Panda without the keyboard bug and with dual screen, will be almost a perfect RISC OS computer. |

Pretty sure this is waiting on the GraphicsV enhancements. |
