DHCP fallback

Hi, I don’t think this should be particularly difficult, but would be very useful. Generally RISC OS on modern systems is so fast, it starts before a lot of other hardware. In particular, before the DHCP routers it is connecting to! So, if there is a power cut, the Pi duly starts up – but without network access because DHCP didn’t appear until later. Would it be possible to modify DHCP so that if no DHCP server is found, it falls back and retries after a time period? |
