Restore REFRESH option to Filer

With reference to thread “Where has ‘Refresh’ gone?” in iyonix-support@freelists.org mailinglist, I would like to add its restoration to the wish list. It’s really needed when using Filer windows that display updating directories on networked, non-RISC OS machines. |

I checked in a fix for this on the 30th of Jan, but it doesn’t look like ROOL have run the autobuilder since then. Hopefully in a day or two Steve will find the time to run it so people can switch to a softloaded copy of the module if they want. |

not to be pedantic but an autobuilder should not be run manually .. right? Maybe I am a purist if it comes to these kind of things. It would be nice to have a genuine autobuilder that does builds on a regular interval. |

Yeah, “autobuilder” is a bit of a misnomoner at the moment. As I understand it the main reason it doesn’t run automatically is because ROOL fear it might use too much bandwidth and cost them lots of money. Which is why they’re interested in getting the IOMD ROM into a state where they can run RPCemu on the web server, so that there’s no bandwidth cost to running the autobuilder. I had hoped that my recent IOMD changes would have made this possibile, but if Peter’s comments about HostFS bugs are true then it looks like we’ll have to wait until the next RPCemu release. |

The main reason it’s not really automated is because I don’t want to have even more computers sitting in my house switched on 24/7… :) At the moment, autobuilds happen when a) I remember and b) I have time to package up the results and upload onto the web site. |
