Sometimes I decide to quit a number of applications in order to free up memory or to declutter the iconbar. Such a feature may be best disabled for certain apps, e.g. Alarm. In order for old apps to exhibit this behaviour, those requiring it to be disabled would probably have to specifically notify this preference. As with most existing features, it might be useful for users to be able to globally disable/enable (but not for apps saying “no”), with the default OS setting yet to be decided. The feature could work similarly for filing systems. TinyDirs may need special consideration, as they seem to follow (1) above already. |
