ColourPicker dialogue

I think it would be nice if the Colour Picker dialogue box could show some indication of where the current colour is on the pretty coloured square, by perhaps a small circle. This mould make it easier to move it small increments in the direction you desire. I know you can click on the slider bars, or change the numbers, but if it has been set by ‘point and click’ it seems odd that there is no indication of where the click was!

I considered a + but I think a circle would be better as it could be right at an edge – or even at a corner.

Two questions:
- anyone else think this would be good?
- does it seem practical?

The colour picker in the HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) model in ArtWorks does exactly this, using a ‘plus’. The only thing it doesn’t do is to display the RGB colour as &rrggbb – it just provides (e.g.) 54.7% and you have to do a calculation of PRINT~0.547*255.
