8~) I’m actually long sighted. I think you’d have to be very short sighted for quad HD to make any sense at all on a smartphone! Or wear +8 spectacles… I like being able to see further than the end of my nose, so if I was that short sighted, I’d wear -8 specs. |

When I went to the UK in 2010 I first checked with my (NZ) bank and they told me everything would work. And it’s was true… when I could find a retailer that accepted swiping. Then even when I swiped, I was never prompted for my PIN; I had to sign (which I have never done at home). A year or so later my card was replaced with a chip one, which still asked for a signature when overseas (Australia). I assume that it’s more secure than swiping though. Meanwhile my latest card (from the same bank) has the stripe, no chip, no name embossed on the card, and doesn’t expire until 2025. Go figure. |

@Garry: Yes, I am still keen on that. Mind You, I am saying AUD 150.00 ;) A small littel application allowing me pushing text, Links and maybe files would be awesome. Regardless of what others think of its security/availability. Saying that, enabling its p2p encryption would be a huge benefit. :) |

@Rob : Cool, I’m just happy to have some of my work back on RISC OS! :) I’m in Australia too, by the way. If you drop me a mail at taylor DOT garry AT gmail DOT com, then we can discuss your requirements. Cheers Garry |

Yes, that’s me, I’m in Warburton, Victoria. Been here a bit over a year, but in Australia for about 4 years. I got into Acorn gear when I was probably 15 or something, and trying to use it more and more at the moment. Amazing how usable it all still is really. |
