Of course, and it is how I have used it to the best of my ability all these years, with help from many who can interpret it better than I. |

I understood so, but my question was really about the keyword ENVELOPE. I think anyone who was using your software would almost certainly know about it, but it is not in the BASIC V manual and I wondered if there is a prompt that it exists for your purpose. |

Changes as proposed above to remove some TWIN and TWINO code from Basic have today been included in the Development ROMs which should:
I hope this causes no problems to anyone! The commands are an anomaly, and catering for them while preserving the ERL after aborts caused complications. |

I also considered removing the EDIT command, which invokes the *ArmBE command to Edit Basic programs, written around the same time as TWIN. However, there is a 32bit version of the module available from ROOL, and it does have users of the facility. And the BasicEdit module is included as part of the RC8 distribution for the Raspberry Pi and (AFAICR) BASIC now RMEnsures this module whenever it is started (so that the ‘EDIT’ command will always find the BasicEdit module and its ‘armbe’ command present). |

Does anyone have a manual for TWIN for sale or download? Various ARM publications refer to a manual (so I think it existed at one point), but I can’t find it anywhere, as a pdf or in print. I would prefer a pdf, but I’d be willing to buy a hardcopy (and would scan it to make it available to the community). Thanks very much for any hints, leads or other tips. |

I have the manual, dated 1987, for TWIN. It is a 40 page A5 publication, ring bound, plus a July 1987 release note and a function key strip. I can scan it for you but not immediately. |
