Feasibility of this as my first "project"?

I’m pretty much ready with the coding aspect of this but it’ll take me quite some time to get the “blog” bit done.

However, so far I don’t really know anything at all about how to collaborate so I’m making this post. The way I’ve implemented it so far it’s enabled/disabled on the filer menu where you choose verbose mode etc. I’m using the currently unused bit &80 in fileraction_options if you see what I mean (and have added a menu option etc).

Er, so how do I “reserve” this so no one else uses it before I am in a position to upload my changes? And of course it’s the last bit left there, although during my limited faffing around with the code I see no reason it has to be a byte as such…
