Running ArtWorks with RISC OS linux using Qemu emulation is a lot slower compared to running it natively on a RPi 5. You can speed up window redraws by using opengl,

Thanks both, I’ve not been able to try on my Pi5 yet – will give it a go, but having it running on a laptop is great. Is there a version of Aemulor that works? – I tried the one for RPCEmu, which doesn’t, but I’m not really sure which’d be the right one. |

Thanks for that, the Linux port is now running on the RPi5. I did find one tiny snag however. Alarm was configured to run at startup but a side affect of this was that the HardDisc4 TinyDir disappeared from the icon bar. The The TinyDir can be reinstated from a TaskWindow. A better idea is to the put the AddTinyDir command in an Obey file in Tasks. (As I recall Timothy’s installation did something of the sort.) HTH. Thanks again for the script, it does simplify things. |
