memory is full

2012-06-09 ROM:
At first start after ROM changes it takes a little time before it boot from HD. Then without network.
Reconfigure network and restart…

Waiting for bootdrive to be ready….
Error: The area of memory reserved for relocatable modules is full (Error number &101)

With a end of May ROM … no problems.

Interestingly, the error occurs only when I boot from HD. Am I doing this from the stick or is a stick present (must be not a bootstick) does it work (including HD).

May help if you say what machine/rom you are using.

I have also had the error ‘the area of memory reserved for …’ on booting up but I just reboot the ARMini and it then boots up OK. Have also had it freeze at some point in the start up but, again, just rebooting it overcame this. So I didn’t report it. It doesn’t recur very often.

Two Maschines. XM Rev.B with a IDE HD and Rev.C with SATA HD. These are the prototypes of BIK/ARMini. I have this Problems with the ROM from 8.6.; 9.6. and 10.6.2012. The error occurs on every start or restart.
If I type *!Boot in the CLI after the error, that works.

May be *rmreinit resolver fix the Problem. After I do this, the BIK starts normal.

So is everything OK now?

I’ve done some testing with hard discs and USB sticks being connected and haven’t been able to reproduce the problem you’re seeing.

Excuse me. This does not work reliably. It is better to go back to an older ROM (16.05. I just tried). All settings restore (The network did not work for me). If the system works fine then change ROM with BBFlash and boot only from HD. It should not be a stick inserted additionally. Then occurs to me the error but not with the 11.06. ROM.
