Cortex A8/9 CMOS change

Default CMOS changes for Cortex- and Broadcom-based builds:
- LMTransport IP (was NetBEUI)
- FreewayAutoAddress now “off”
- WimpIconiseButton now “on”
- CDROMDrives now 0 for RPi (was 1)

So it says in the CVS notes.

However, it appears to be a three out of four¹:
WimpIconiseButton seems to default to OFF just as previous.

I also tried with no CMOS file and no boot disc so it was just a pure ROM settings situation.

I missed the RPi ‘machine’ type in the conditional assembly switch for the version I committed to CVS. So none of these settings will have made any difference on that machine just yet. Will fix that shortly (when I commit another change).

I won’t make the effort of setting the Pi up for that test then.

I’m still puzzled by the “WimpIconiseButton now “on”” item though as it doesn’t seem to be working.
How does it relate to the WimpDragMoveLimit?

According to the sources, WimpDragMoveLimit stores more than just the drag move limit. However it looks like it should be (1:SHL:7) for WimpIconiseButton rather than (1:SHL:2).

Thanks – I had a feeling it was a case of many items on one hook, but I hadn’t spent the time to go digging through the source to find the detail. (I plead pressure of essential duties like feeding three cats and the lesser item of turning up to the employment establishment known as “work”¹)
