Pi4 display resolution

I don’t usually use the latest beta rom but I’ve just tried today’s version and when I try to change the screen resolution with the display app (or wimpmode) the screen is drawn rotated 180 degrees (upside down) and the slabbing is inverted – buttons look pressed in. The pointer is sometimes inverted ie the pointer is drawn rotated and clicking on an icon works, but at other times it behaves normally ie the screen looks upside down but the hotspots for the pointer are in the normal position so the hotspots and the icon positions are not the same.

Does any one else see this problem?

I’ve just tried the latest (11 October) ROM in a 4GB Pi 4 and I’m not seeing this at all. I tried several different resolutions including 640×480 and 1680×1050, and I also issued *wimpmode 32 – the screen resolutely stayed the right way up.

What firmware are you using? Use *vcgencmd version to find out (I’m using 10 June firmware, as supplied with RC16).

With or without a CMDLINE/TXT containing disable_mode_changes disable_gamma.

I was using the firmware from February. Updating to the latest version seems to have fixed things.
