Local edit of remote files on VNC server

I have a web application (WebJames style BASIC scripts) running on a remote Ras Pi running 5.24

If I connect to the remote server using !Avalanche 0.22 and then try to edit the files on the server by accessing them using ShareFS, then one of two things is likely to happen.
– The edit crashes out
or
– The VNC connection crashes.

I am running 5.29 on the local machine, but has been happening before when running RC16 (and possibly even 5.24)

This happens even when the scripts are not actually running at the time
