SCSI/Fat32fs problem

I inserted a 32MB USB pen drive and it opens a RISC OS filer window fat32fs::DISK.$ – if I try to copy files out of this it hangs. If I do a Filer_OpenDir SCSI::0.$ a filer window SCSI::0.$ opens showing identical contents and I can copy files out of this no problem. Any ideas please? How do I click on an icon bar icon for a pen drive to say ‘please open using SCSI not fat32fs’? |

Isn’t there a left-click, right-click thing on the filer’s iconbar icon, or am I thinking of something else? |

I think the select/adjust thing is to look at different fat32fs partitions. Just tried it and clicking with either button brings up fat32fs:… Posting this from the London show, using a 4te computer, the Elesar WiFi HAT and the hotel’s wifi – shame it doesn’t quite work under RISC OS, I had to resort to Linux. |

Are you using Jeff D.’s latest Fat32Fs module? https://sites.google.com/site/jeffreyadoggett/ |

I’m surprised that there isn’t something preventing the partition being mounted by both DOSFS and Fat32Fs simultaneously if you can get Filer windows open through both fs. Should some config / build option be added to Fat32Fs to prevent it trying to handle FAT16 if wished, leaving it to DOSFS as it would be were Fat32Fs not loaded? One for Jeff D. I suspect. Did you try RMKill-ing Fat32FS as a workaround? |
