USB mouse in hub not initialising until reconnected on RPi

I’m running RISC OS 5.28 on a Raspberry Pi 3B with a Kinesis Advantage USB keyboard connected to the Pi’s USB port. I have a wireless Evoluent mouse with it’s small USB dongle connected into the USB hub in the underside of the Kinesis keyboard, this is so I can just plug the keyboard from one device to another and the mouse follows. On the RPi, plugging the keyboard in before powering up, RISC OS recognises the keyboard fine but doesn’t recognise the mouse until I disconnect and reconnect the USB dongle from the keyboard and then immediately works too. I don’t have this experience using this set up on Raspbian Linux on the same Pi so am wondering if it’s a bug in the RISC OS USB stack? If it’s not an easy fix is there some way I could in software force the USB ports/hub to reinitialise after boot which might have the same effect as reconnecting the USB mouse dongle? |
