There is a redraw issue in Maestro 2.19.

Update. The note wiping by menus only happens on bars with no closing bar line, as would be the case when composing. Add the final bar line and the issue goes away. |

I think what’s happening is there’s a redraw optimisation which quits if the X coordinate isn’t worth drawing, except it’s using the start of the bar as the limit rather than the last placed note. So when a bar completes everything to the left of it is always redrawn OK, but only the first 24 OS units to the right of the new bar is drawn (the 24 fudge factor is to account for notes with hairy bits sticking out to the right). I’ve changed the early exit to compare against the rightmost note rather than nearest left bar. Does that help? |

It does, it works just fine now, the notes are still there after a menu passes over them. Good spot, Maestro is big BASIC!
