Surfstick cardreader no longer works

Since 5.21 (tested ROM Jun 02, Jun 04, Jun 16) the cardreader function of my surfstick no longer works. No icon on the icon bar. USBInfo detects the card reader.
Back to 5.19 (May 28) everything works fine.

Edit: Tested with xM (ARMini); Pandora and RPi

Same problem only with the build in SD-card from my HP-PhotoSmart B110 printer.
No icon on the bar with 5.21
Printer attached with USB to my Pandaboard. I used the SD-card with the ‘scan to card’ option from the printer and then copy the file to the PandaBoard SD card.(64GB)
Hope there will be a fix.

The same Problem with Surfstick and Panda and with my build in card reader from my Epson Stylus Photo.

It would be more interesting to know if RISC OS detects the device. Does it appear in *usbdevices.

For the stick… I’m online with…
*usbdevices detect the Stick but not the devices in it.
USBInfo detect all devices of the Stick and also the Mass Storage device.

Edit: I play around with any ROMs in the last few minutes.
*usbdevices make the same on all tested ROMs

Sorry… the last ROM I have and work is May 28 and the first that not work is May 30 and also 5.19!

The details that usbinfo shows will appear in *usbdevinfo n and *usbconfinfo n where n is the device number from *usbdevices. It’s just not as pretty. Anyway it appears that the usbdriver sees the device but scsisoftusb has failed to recognise the type.
Looking at the changes in the cvs between the dates you mention I can’t see anything which would change the behaviour of usb. Is the device hidden? (Do you use the ‘hide’ file). Does the device appear in *devices.

I change only the ROM. No hide file …

Is SCSISoftUSB unplugged.

Is activ and normal Stick and cardreader are working.

Would you like to try running this – USBMassTest.zip. It will test if there is an error when opening the device (It opens the device endpoints in the same way as SCSISoftUSB then closes any it opens.)

Devices which are class 8.6:80 which are seen by SCSISoftUSB will return ‘endpoint in use’
