16/08 ROM resets SCSIFSDrive

16/08 ROM – Beagleboard -xm

I got the ‘Waiting for boot drive to be ready’ message on starting my BB after updating the ROM. *Status revealed that SCSIFSDrive had been set to 0 instead of 4. Reconfigured it and restarted the BB. Same error again. Status shows that SCSIFSDrive is once again set to 0.

Reverting back to the previous ROM gave the same error but reconfiguring the drive stuck this time so the new ROM must be reconfiguring CMOS. Additionally Num Lock also seems to have been reset. Better see what else.

Floppy disc set to 1
Textured window backgrounds ( ugh! )
Allow windows off-screen reset
Switch DST reset

Other configurations I’ve changed are unaffected AFAICT.

I’m using a CMOS widget & a spinning HDD.

The same thing happens on OMAP4. It looks like the CMOS widget is getting completely cleared.

Seems fixed with 18/08/13 ROM.
