Problems with unpacking src-batch1to6/tar/bz2

Due to a problem sharing pipes I wanted to look into ShareFS source. I didn’t found it inside the Pre Release 6 batches so I thought I could be a good idea to download src-batch1to6/tar/bz2. After download I tried to decompress with my own bzip2 port. It failed telling me “that the file is not a bz2 file”. So I downloaded !UnTarBZ2. However I got the same result even after a second download of the source file. What I am doing wrong or is there a something wrong with the file? |

Sorry, my fault. We’re in the process of getting an automated build and archiving system working and you downloaded at a point where things weren’t entirely working right. You’ll find your archive is a tar file (rather than a tar.bz2) despite its name. A couple of hours from now, all those source tarballs should have been fully rebuilt and correctly compressed. |

And to save you the effort of downloading it, I’ll point out that ShareFS is one of the few modules that hasn’t had its source released yet. It was jointly written by Acorn and ANT, and we are still in negotiations with ANT over the release of their code. Sorry. What’s there in its place is merely a partially-linked object code version of the module. |
