StrongEd Printing

I’m having problems printing from StrongEd on a RaspberryPi (the version of StrongEd supplied with the RC11 image), using either !PDFMaker or !PrintPDF, and with an outline font set in the mode preferences.

If I ask it to print in graphics mode, with headers, it puts up a message box/alert dialog (whatever these are called on RISCOS) with a message something like “Unable to print string” and Continue and Cancel buttons. Whichever of these I click, the machine hangs, and it’s not possible to interact with anything. ALT+BREAK doesn’t list StrongEd as an option for killing; CTRL+BREAK does work however (i.e. hard reset).

However if I choose graphics mode but WITHOUT headers, it works correctly and produces a correct PDF file, with colouring if that is selected. (Choosing text mode normally results in a Ghostscript error.)

It would be helpful to know which version of StrongED and the definition strings for headers and footers. Also, the exact error message.

A quick test with 4.69a6 (which should be close to what’s in RC11) shows no obvious problems.

Text printing doesn’t seem to work at all for me, I’ll need to have a look at it.
