Numeric keypad

I am having difficulty with the numeric keypad under RISC OS. I am trying to get numeric keypad 3 to produce ‘PageDn’ when SHIFT is held down. It works under Windows (on the same machine), the key on the keyboard is inscribed correctly but it doesn’t work under RISC OS. What is wrong please? |

I didn’t even know that Windows offered a Shift-keypad option! For RISC OS, and how it worked in the old days (DOS, etc): It’s a throwback to the older (83 key?) style of keyboard. If you think, it doesn’t make sense to have cursors right beside cursors. Now look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:IBM_5150_Keyboard.jpg |

It seems sensible, with a keyboard that has the numeric keypad key ‘3’ marked with both 3 and PageDn that you should be able to toggle the effect of the ‘number lock’ key with the SHIFT key, just like you can toggle the action of the Caps Lock key with the SHIFT key. It works properly under Windows but not, it seems, RISC OS. Pity. |
