What was the date when those changes were made, please? |

The 26th of April – so they would have shown up in ROMs from the 27th onwards. |

Your latest Test-ROM (the other I have not try) is not working on the Pandora, right? It crashed before predesk is loading… |

The version of u-boot on the Pandora seems to have a bug where it corrupts large files when it tries to load them. Compressed ROMs work OK, but uncompressed ones are too big and will be corrupted. I’ve now compressed both of the ROMs and re-uploaded the archives. They should now work fine on the Pandora (they both seemed to work OK on mine) |

Yes, works fine (Classic and GHz Pandora) and my Mouse via OTG is back… |

New ROM image to try here This one contains a hybrid of the two device initialisation versions. If the first few attempts with the newer initialisation code don’t work it’ll fall back to using the older code. Let me know how well it works! |

Mmm, my xM (BIK/ARMini – Proto) will not boot. All green LEDs are on but nothing is displayed… I wait round about 10 minutes. First try was a Restart, second a Newstart. Both are the same result. |

With a spinning drive I get the same as Raik & keyboard lamps permanently lit too. This time the reset button doesn’t change the result. Having no boot drive goes to ‘Waiting for boot drive’ message. Starts fine using the uSD card as boot drive. BB -xM Rev C. |

Is there a softload option for the Beagleboard? |

Back to the drawing board then :-( I do have a couple of USB→SATA adapters I didn’t test, hopefully I can reproduce the problems on one of those.
Not yet. But maybe it’s about time we added support for it. |

I use USBtoIDE adapter in my xM but I try also toSATA… the same problem. |

My HDD is whatever was in my 2005 Macbook pro in a cheap USB enclosure. |

New ROM here I think I found the problem this time. The change to the device initialisation completely broke the USB OTG port, which I forgot to check (oops!), and I found a couple of other bugs that could cause the machine to crash during the keyboard scan. |

This should be a problem for the ARMini. The internal devices (Stick, HD, CDROM…) are connected to a internal hub and the hub is connected to the OTG port. I try any things last 30min with the new ROM. It looks like it works. No problems. Many thanks. |

So far, so good, on a BBxM. |

Starts fine with both SCSI HDD and SDFS uSD as boot discs. |

Just got around to trying it on my ARMini and it seems fine. |

Thanks all! I submitted the fixes yesterday, so they should now be in the latest ROMs. |

Just upgraded my ARMini to this latest version and in the last few minutes things look A-OK. I’ll give it more of a thrash later. |

Sorry about disappearing from this thread back there – it was exam season, but I was going to get round to it soon, honest! Anyway, in lieu of testing the debug image like I was asked, I just installed the latest nightly build and I can confirm that it has fixed my original problem. Thanks and well done to Jeffrey! |
