Sound on Pandaboard

I’ve had this ever since I got my pandaboard, but it’s a weird one. The sound doesn’t work if I plug my speaker in after it boots up, if I reboot after I plug it in it works fine or if it’s plugged in before I power on.
Usually I leave it plugged in, but it’s a bluetooth speaker which is very handy so I sometimes use it to listen to music off my phone in the kitchen.
I can’t quite understand the logic that would cause it to not work when it’s not plugged in though.
Clearly not exactly a major issue, but I’d be interested if it is actually a bug, what causes it.

FWIW I got a similar problem on my ARMiniX. Generally just leave the headphone amp I added connected. It may be some kind of ‘protection’ sensor, or just that a static click locks up the audio stage. Never investigated as I just changed to USB audio instead. ;→
