;flags (Offa's ghost)

I’m pleased to inform you that Offa has been exonerated.
The culprit was / is an asterisk command. By removing the command I cannot set conditions to create the error I was trying to test for by using the ;flags in Basic in the first place though. The stack is I believe, being left with extra value/values on that don’t become apparent until Basic returns to the Wimp. So ;flags had been wrongly accused by me. Thanks for the help, without which I wouldn’t be posting this here, which I hope is a new thread called ;flags. May Offa rest in peace. I’m off to try and resolve the problem. I think I should edit my user name to Fawlty to hide my embarrassment. By trying the programs to use to make this posting I got Internal error abort on data transfer at three different addresses FC15FB0C FC015D40 and FC016370 the last two repeated. Sounds possible that the *command was messing up the Basic environment, but without knowing the command cannot comment further.
