bug tracker is not available

I wanted to submit a (possible) bug report but tracker is not available (I’ve tried to access it since yesterday and I’m still getting message that too many people is using it). When it will be back? Or maybe it is constantly overloaded? |

What’s the bug? Perhaps other people know of a fix.
Not sure what the specific issue is but the server seems to have been slow or registering overload for many weeks (months?) |

IIRC some months ago there were some server issues and they turned off some features pending moving to another server. I can’t recall the move ever happening:-( |

Sometimes the mouse pointer randomly moves (jumps like cursor does on touch screens), mostly but not always to the left screen edge. When above occurs sometimes (quite rarely) middle click menu (what was it called? menu? oh yes, select-menu-adjust…) appears. This happens independently from overclocking, mostly disconnecting and connecting mouse helps. Mouse I’m currently using is Lenovo Wired Optical Mouse M60 (small, super-cheap and it has very good click under scrolling wheel). Also, there was another bug (or just a glitch) but I simply forgot about it… :-( |

Strange, that’s behaviour I’ve seen on touch and optical mouse driven systems that aren’t RISC OS, never seen it on a RISC OS system but then the only optical mouse I’ve used on a RO system is on the beagle – bog basic “microsoft” model borrowed from a DELL. I have experienced pointer jumps and random scrolls on PC’s with USB optical mice.
Again the only time I’ve experienced that is on PC’s with USB optical mice. As above this may be something in the optical mouse builds that could be caught/stopped by a mouse driver change. |

Hopefully the bug tracker can be fixed! I’ve been periodically trying to report this issue but haven’t had any luck yet :( |

Isn’t that how Microsoft allegedly “fixed” hundreds of bugs in IE7 (IE8?)? They disabled the bug tracker… |

Well, with Microsoft Optical Mouse 200 I don’t have problem described above. Unfortunately, its scroll wheel has rounded edges (so it’s much less precise as a middle button).
ROTFL |

So, it looks like the Lenovo mouse produces a reproducible error case. |

Well, another thing is/was/whatever broken. After one of reboots RISC OS lost ability to connect with network. DHCP was set correctly, router probably too (multiple other computers work well in the same network)… Around 20 reboots, checking with 2 different cat5 cables didn’t help. I’ve just reinstalled everything, kinda MS way ;-) I have no idea how to reproduce above (everything is now installed the same way it was yet networking works like a charm). |

I wonder if it might be some mice doing strange things! I’ve seen one particular model of PS2 mice do this on a RiscPC using a PS2MouseMini |

I decided to give 5.23 a try – so far no problems with Lenovo mouse. I’ll report if any glitches will occur. |

Ah, an old(er) ROM build, I think the one you now have may have changes that fix both your problems or at least improve things. BTW. You may want to look at the “Bonus Binaries” download for clues on creating other “Territories” – keyboard and language settings. |

Thank you :-) |
