Draw, Edit, Paint save failure

Draw, Edit and Paint will fail to save a file when other messages are sent round during the Save protocol. It seems that all three applications expect the ref field numbers to be sequential, checked by inspecting the messages sent using WimpMon.

This was observed with Transient. When files are filtered to a user that doesn’t have a temporary directory yet, Transient will put up a query box to ask if the directory should be created. As Transient is toolbox based this will involve toolbox messages.

Although the directory is created the file to save isn’t there, this works fine from other applications. If the directory already exists then saving from Draw, Edit and Paint does work.
