Memory cannot be moved

Is anyone else getting the error ‘Memory cannot be moved’, when clicking Restart after a shutdown? This is on a RPi, using v5.23 from 17th October. Would be nice to know if it was something I was doing, or a bug. |

Not here, RPi2 OS5.23 (21-Oct-15). |

I’ve not seen that on either the 17 or 21-10-15 build. Try rmkilling all 3rd party Modules before shutdown – if there are any that is. |

The only modules RAM loaded were …
Running those kills in an Obey file stopped the problem. I would have thought that when Restart was pressed it just did a OS_Reset, and modules had no part in things at all. Obviously I am wrong! I am not convinced it is that module – it could be something more generic. Investigations will continue … but probably not until after Saturday! |

Service_Reset is (or was, the documentation seems to indicate otherwise) issued at reset, which allows Modules to cleanup or get into a state to resume after a reset, NetTime might be doing something during this period, such as releasing memory allocations that could cause the problem you’re seeing. |
