Disabling T/TCP

Remember the fuss a few years ago when we discovered that some web sites (e.g. Barclays online banking) wouldn’t work without the following line having first been executed?
So why does the current RISC OS disc image still not include this line somewhere, e.g. in !Boot.Choices.Internet.User? It’s my opinion that T/TCP should be disabled by default. I’d be interested to hear of who would be better off with it enabled. I’ve just had to add it to my BeagleBoard so that I could do some online banking. |

Just an unintentional omission, I think. I’ve just checked in a change to re-add the line to the default User file, so everything should be fine once ROOL rebuild the archive. The reason the line wasn’t there in the first place is that not all of the changes Castle made to the boot sequence were stored in CVS, so both myself and ROOL have had to go through and fix up a lot of stuff manually :( |
