Large value in File Copy window

Not sure if this is a bug or whether it’s already a known problem/feature. While copying a folder to USB stick and later a HDD, the File Copy window showed a strange number – “744, 073, 709, 551, 615 bytes to go”. I was having problems copying a 75MB folder to my USB stick and was trying to find which file was being copied when my BBxM crashed. This value showed up a number of times during the copy, although it wasn’t showing when the BBxM crashed. I finally solved the freezing by booting from a USB HDD instead of the stick. Not sure which version of the ROM I was using at first, but my final (successful) attempt at copying the folder was using Jeffreys 27th Jan ROM and the value still showed up in the file copy window a number of times. Has anyone else noticed this? I couldn’t find anything in the forums about it. “18,446,744,073,709,551,615” is the maximum value for an unsigned long long int, probably not coincidence? Alan. |

OTT: I once had to change my password at work, and received a message like ‘Your new password is too short. It must be at least xx characters long’ where xx was a similar VERY large number. I fell of my chair laughing, as it would have taken me even longer to remember it than type it! |
