Verify

Whilst running Verify on the SD Card (it did find an error unfortunately at 0/73000000 Error 0B), I have found that once the error message has come up (and click on OK), the routine will no longer continue – pressing the “continue” button alternates betwern "Device Error – Illegal Command) and the original disc error

Some clues as to exactly which version of RISC OS you are running, and on what computer, may help!

On rotating ADFS drives RISC OS verify from the desktop menu A) Sometimes didn’t work at all (Immediately finishing) and B) only reported defects if it still failed after five retries.
Using a command line verify gives the address of all sectors that have to be retried printing a ? to the screen for each retry, then the error if the retries didn’t work.
I’m not sure if SDFS and SCSIFS are any better but I suggest selecting the filing system

I’d be inclined to do it at an F12 prompt
Using a task window is not quite the same.

It said it found errors (kept displaying ascending block numbers), so it looks like there may be a problem there…
