Serial not working

what it does is tell DeviceFS to use a larger buffer.

The XAT serial configuration(came with Iyonix) supposedly sets a buffer size, but I’ve never noticed any change in behaviour.
It is possible that large data throughput might be necessary to see it happen.
Is your found method of setting the buffer size compatible with everyday BASIC or SWI commands?
It might be handy to implement it one day for a serial networking or transfer protocol.
I guess setting the buffer would be independent of what hardware is in use, The hardware must buffer a little to work though.
