ROM Nov runs once on xM

Using a Beagleboard xM rev. A3 and a ROM from November ‘11 it starts only one time. I have to ’reflash’ the card on another machine to make it start again. No such problems using older ROMs for example dated 24 Sep 2011. On the other hand if it starts the machine is perceptible slower. |

This sounds like it could be due to a bug in the CMOS save code, which was added around the start of the month. Are you able to connect a serial cable to see how far through the boot process it gets before it gets stuck? And how are you formatting/preparing the card? If you place a CMOS file on the card, how large is it?
I’m not sure what could be causing this problem. It could be the CMOS code again – perhaps there’s something writing to your CMOS RAM at regular intervals, or maybe something is still left running in the background after boot (although I’m not sure what). |

Not sure if it’s related but on my xM rev C and this ROM I find that the reset button won’t restart RISC OS but disconnecting/reconnecting the power supply will. Earlier (October) ROM was OK. |

I had a similar problem earlier this week. |
