Content scrolling out of window

I have a file window containing 12 items (mixed files & apps). Scrolling sideways with the pointer of my Apple ‘Mighty Mouse’ over the window content causes the content of the window to scroll sideways (left) out of the window. Scrolling the content back again works but loses half the icons. Clicking the toggle size icon returns the display to normal.

Peculiarity of using a mouse with a multi-direction ball or bug?

It’s probably a bug in the horizontal mouse wheel/ball scrolling code (as discussed here). I’ll add fixing it to my todo list – this would be a good thing to get fixed for the 5.18 release.
