Sorry, I obviously wasn’t clear: I like the menu approach. “how would you do it more efficiently?”, I asked. The time setting on my phone is neat, but irrelevant. (It shows two concentric circles for the hours, outer 1-12, the inner 13-00, then replaces it with another for the minute; I find it user friendly.) |

The menu approach can be quick, but just don’t be too close to the right hand side of the screen when you start, or have anything pop up unexpectedly, or have a jerky mouse. |

Even in 1988 we jested about deeper menus as manual dexterity challenges. |

Version 7.72 of MultiTask will now set the date and time of a file (as before) but if the menu selection is made using ADJUST then it will also set the date and time of the parent directory or open image filing system. Date and time of directories on HostFS on VRPC are left unchanged. Relevant code is:
After setting the file’s date and time, it checks to see if ADJUST was used, then reads the parent directory file type (in case it is an image filing system like ‘zip’ which does not like its file type being changed whilst it is open for update) and sets the date and time of the parent directory too. |
