Broken Directory/Disc Error with 9th July 17 Iyonix softload

I wonder if my PSU is starting to fail as this is the first time I have left it on for nearly all day for at least a year or so

He who has everything in stock will loan a PSU kit to try to work that out

Well this morning I have booted up OK in to the 14th July ROM test ROM Rob provided and currently doing a check with Disknight. So it seems good news on a fix for the issue.

For the odd issue I saw last night my money is on something to do with the PSU /Temperature related. I’ll leave it on for most of today and see what happens.

If it returns then I might take Mike’s advice as it seems a good idea and two weeks is a good length of time to test things.

So Disknight has tested Drive 4 a comes back with no errors and a good disc so looks like the new ROM fixes the issues.

Thanks Doug & Dave, the revised ADFS should pop out on tomorrow’s Iyonix and IOMD ROM conveyor belt.

Also I have sorted out the weird screen break up issues and it was down to the graphics card as I had a replacement one and it also now boots up at the first attempt as well. The only downside is the new one has a fan so a bit more noise is coming from the Iyonix.

Now on to the hard drives as I’ve taken the opportunity to reformat them, in 5.22 to be on the safe side for now, and am just copying things back. I think I’ll look getting at a couple of replacements as well to be on the safe side.
