You can’t save the time and date to the cmos, you need to either fit a battery for the onboard clock chip, or get the BeagleBoard to set it’s time from the Internet using ‘NetTime’ See this thread for more info – http://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/5/topics/377 |

If i have understood i have to make an Obey file? thanks that post is a little confused or i’m a little stupid : ). |

I think you can probably make Obey files now, so I guess you’re referring to its contents. The various commands to set it up can be tested from a Command Window. Do Ctrl-F12 and one will open in Edit. |

Instead of creating an obey file you can add the settings to the Network ‘user Options’ file. First double-click on !Boot, then click Network, next click Internet. Finally double-click on ‘User Options’. Add the following to the bottom of the file.
Next time you reboot and have an internet connection the date and time should be set correctly. |

Press ctrl-f12 *help dst If you just want to reset the boot drive. Just unplug all the drives and reboot. Press escape once the prompt appears, then *configure scsifsdrive 0 Plug the USB key back in and reboot. I assume you had it set to ‘4’ before. |
