Hi all, Apologies it’s so vague and thanks in advance should anyone somehow find it based on this, I’ll be well impressed! Alan |

Definitely not Magic Pockets. Too much colour. Is there a definitive list of RISC OS games with screen shots anywhere? |

Thundermonk or Talisman possibly, neither are monochrome but do have a wizard. I have a full list of commercial games on the JASPP preservation status page if it’s any help and there’s several hundred videos on the JASPP YouTube channel. |

OK, I think I may have mistaken the platform. We had a mixture of A410s and Master 128ks. I was almost positive it was on an A410 but I’ve found a game that looks familiar so I may play that and see if it’s the one I’m thinking of. It’s called Imogen for the BBC Micro. It’s so long ago it’s difficult to tell if it’s the game I’m trying to remember or not. For the moment I shall assume it’s solved and thanks to both of you for your suggestions. Jon the links look interesting, I’ve recently rediscovered my collection of Acorn machines in the loft and I’ve a sudden urge to relive my youth so I’ll be having a look through the list and the videos. Thanks again! |

Monochrome + wizard = Imogen in my book, but that was a bbc micro game. Don’t recall it for RISC OS. Great game though! |

This is very unlikely based on the time range you gave, but the description of a wizard moving around a castle made me think of Daleth: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=22XemVHS7r8 |

Wrong platform I know, and Alan has clarified since, but the description made me think of Sorcery on the Amstrad range of computers. I’d love to see something like that on modern RISC OS. |
