It's 2018 ... and I've ordered a new RISC OS computer

My first post here, but hopefully not my last. So … I’ve just ‘ordered’ a new RISC OS computer, specifically a two slice Ident CD computer from here – http://www.ident-online.co.uk/computer/ce.html – and this was off the back of seeing Tom demo the machine at an event in Stratford-Upon-Avon a few weeks back. I was really impressed, and heartened, by the amount of RISC OS machines on display at the event (a computer science type event) and I thought it was time to get back in to the RISC OS scene. I’m also planning on learning C on the new machine as well, so all in all I’m looking forward to continuing my RISC OS journey – which isn’t something I ever really imagined I’d be saying, but thanks to the splendid people here at ROOL, and the work Tom’s doing, it’s something I can say. |

Welcome! Although I think we met at Recursion – I was on the ROUGOL stand :-) |

Yes, that was the event, Recursion. I see it’s on again in July. I’d love to make the Wakefield show, but it’s a bit of a trek for me, but London events are definitely doable. (I’ll probably go to the next Recursion too.) |

If this is the last Recursion, should the next one go back to the previous year ? Ron |

From what I understand it looks unlikely to be any Recursion event in 2019 with the next one possibly in 2020, but if that happens, I dont know, and when it would be, again no idea. |
