Zap unstable - help with Stronged

I am spending 10h/day now with my RK3288 port. I have always used Zap as my editor. However, my system has crashed at least two times / day. No crashes this far. I wonder if it is possible to make Stronged to have TAB working the same as in Zap? (in ObjAsm files) |

It seems Zap inserts an actual TAB character (0×09). To make StrongED do the same:
When done TAB in StrongED’s ObjAsm mode should work the same as in Zap. |

Zap should crash itself, or maybe stuff using ZapRedraw, but it shouldn’t make the entire system crashy. It’s always loaded on my ARMv7 Pi2.
Any pointers to where/what is crashing in Zap? |

This is my experience. Certain files crash Zap if the contents of the file don’t match the filetype. But I too always have Zap loaded on my Pi (3B) and the system has been up continuously for almost a year now. Not a single crash. (I took the system down myself a few times when I first got the 3B, in the process of getting the 4K display working. But since I got that up and running, it’s been up non-stop.) |

Zap is one of the main reasons I still use RO. Love Zap. |

Snap. Zap & Draw. |

If you like Draw, have you tried OpenVector? It’s like DrawPlus plus plus. ;-) |

Nope. Am investigating as soon as I’ve written this. |

http://www.users.on.net/~belles/software/openvector/ sorry – you pointed me at this before & I’ve not looked yet… |

My system has been up for a few days now without any problems. I have more than 20 files open at the same time. Stronged has no problem with that, but Zap failed on me. |

It’s quite true that I don’t think I’ve ever had 20 files open at once in Zap. But the only thing that’s caused Zap to fail for me was file contents not matching filetype. Same files open no problem with type set to Data. And while Zap has crashed for me quite a few times (with a corrupt BASIC file, for example) it’s never crashed the machine. |
