I’ve always found that using OS_GBPB to load/save the whole file in one call identical to using load/save. |

Hi all I have read that the Pi-Desktop add-on board connects to the Raspberry Pi via USB2.0. Does this mean that using a PiDesktop with internal msata disk or a regular Raspberry Pi case with external SSD connected to USB will lead to the same performance? Thank you for your help. Regards |

In general terms, yes. Both are using the same USB2 bus so will be restricted to USB2 speeds. There may be some difference between the USB-to-SATA boards themselves (RISCOSbits claim that their board outperforms the Pi Desktop board) but both are nevertheless hampered by using USB2. |

I use a pi desktop with Pi3 with as my boot drive msata no need for an sdcard performance is slightly better than a class 10 SDcard but more reliable. |
