Regarding Piccolo Systems, who made SDFS

Hello,

There’s something I’ve always wondered about Piccolo Systems. I was reminded again today as I watched my Pi boot into RISC OS.
Does anyone know if Piccolo Systems is named after the Dragon Ball character? I’ve been assuming that this is the case, but I started wondering if I was right, so I thought I would ask.

Well, the Piccolo website has an image of a traditional piccolo so you may be reading too much into it… but I don’t know for sure!
