Filing system SCSI: must be given a filename

Having just upgraded my Panda to the 5.19 4th September ROM and Hard drive, I am surprised to get on startup;-). “Filing sytstem SCSI: must be given a filename 640” fronting over what is I think the default mdf screen. Clicking on the error window cancel button brings up my normal desktop of 1920×1080. As per it is probably my fault but I would be gratful for any assistance. |

Hmm. I’ve reread that and checked my Run file in Predesk Configure and also in 500Hook and 510Hook. They all have the nice big X.in the middle When switching on the Panda I get the PC type wait untill suddenly a column of what I presume are the ROM modules loading appear down the left hand side of the monitor. This does not happen either on the old Iyo (Sept 03 ROM.)or on the Beagleboard (Sept 04 ROM.) Regards Ron. |

Might be something else in the PreDesk that is failing. The fact that your screenmode isn’t the 640×480 (or something like that) seems to indicate that the MDF is loaded, so that indicates the VIDCBandwidthlimit thingy is fine. Something after that is probably failing. Reporter is reported to be a great tool for such things I think, but personally I usually move everything out of PreDesk and move things back until I find out what causes the problem. |

Started again with a bare ROOL boot (06 Sep 2012.) Slowly putting more bits and testing as I go :-). So far so good. Thanks Ron. |
