I think ROOL are still tinkering with the autobuilder. If the “recent changes” page is broken, we should find out in a few days time when I submit some of my pending changes. |

Steve Revill’s comment at the show was that RISC OS 5.26 roms were not available on the downloads page because the autobuilder had stumbled. I think something more powerful than ‘stumbled’ is needed. However the source code tarballs have been produced so that you can build your own rom. Note that RISC OS 5.26 (plus updated firmware) is available via NOOBS. |

‘Recent changes’ are 5.27 builds. Just mentioned it in case it wasn’t noted and that testing betas is less useful if you don’t know what’s changed. |

There’s been 2 ROM updates since 7/11 for the BB at least, but no notice. Are those a seperate thing? |

Have you checked if the ROMs contain the same modules? (or even just if *ROMModules shows any dates newer than the 7th) The options are:
If we can rule out option 1 (no obvious signs of any new stuff in the ROMs) then that leaves 2 or 3, in which case I can drop ROOL an email to see if they’re aware of what’s going on. |

What actually changed between 5.25 (15-10-18) and 5.27 (01-11-18) beyond the licensing text change? I’m seeing the “low power” indicator appearing at the desktop on my pi-top laptop with 5. EDIT: Forgot to mention that it doesn’t appear under Linux or when thrashing the CPU outside of the desktop. |

Miss Bazley’s SideDiff reports unspecified differences, but I guess that could just be the date string! But using Martin’s Compare lists 2406087 differences found between rom images from 9th and 14th November. What this means I know not, except that they don’t seem to be identical! |

Re compares: unless the program knows the format of the files, a byte comparison with some changes in length of something early on can lead to many ‘differences’ later if the positions change slightly. |

Updating one of my local trees, I can see that some license files were stealthily added in the past few days without the recent changes page updating. So that explains why at least some of the new builds have been appearing. (Possibly ROOL just suppressed the “recent changes” update for the addition of the license files because otherwise it would have been flooded with the events, hiding the much more relevant code changes) |

Has the GPIO module been updated to cope with the newly released Pi model 3 A+? It looks at the revision word to decide about model to model differences. |

Once again 2 new ROM images, 21st and 24th January 2019, and no corresponding entries on the revisions page Latest module date: 20 Jan 2019 (Utility module). |

They were there yesterday as they appeared in the XML feed when I updated it: https://www.riscosopen.org/python/cvslog2web/cvslog2web.xml They’ve since disappeared. They were changes associated with testing gamma on the Pi3, see the CVS link in this post for the 24th change and this post for the 21st. |

I’m sorry that I am unable to understand these technicalities, but as an ordinary user hoping to send feedback on changes it is very frustrating that, for whatever reason, notes on these changes are not available. It makes it all rather pointless to bother trialling the nightly beta development build. There is a problem: Someone needs to sort it! |
