I am adjusting to Netsurf. I’m a MSN outlook email user. Netsurf doesn’t support Java, so I am unable th access my Email. Are there any other browsers available? I’ve looked in the store with no results.ll Any help |

At present, your only other option is OtterBrowser (see the Announcements forum section). It can be a bit tricky to get going, and lacks a RISC OS “front end”. RISC OS Developments (of which I am a partner – cards on table!) offers OBrowser which packages Otter nicely and adds RISC OS nicities, as a fund-raiser for its work. I can provide more info on that if you like, but general forum concensus seems positive. Longer term, RISC OS Developments is funding browser development work, but that hasn’t quite reached a stage where we have anything to offer you quite yet. Suffice to say that’s what OBrowser is funding! Alternatively, as someone who uses hotmail as a “travel” email, and is forced to use office365 outlook servers for business email (“thanks”, Demon Internet), R-Comp’s [also me] Messenger Pro 8 / NetFetch 5 products allow access to email on those servers – I’ve used/tested and written instructions for that, and use office365 outlook mail servers hourly with that. Cheap versions are available via ROOL’s NutPi, but whether those cut-down versions will be quite enough for what you need, I’m not 100% sure. I sent updated versions to ROOL recently, which will probably help. |

Using pretty much any kind of web application via a browser on RISC OS is pretty much out of the question unfortunately. There are applications that can act as a way of performing certain tasks without doing it via the web browser – Murnong for downloading YouTube video, !Manga for reading comics, Pluto (free) or Messenger Pro (commercial) for email etc. |
