Screen saver for the HardDic4 image???

Most of you will be familiar with the Spirograph. Did you know that despite it often being sold as a toy the shapes it creates can be calculated with a pair of parametric equations. I have an animated screen-saver graphic based on these equations – only 2 are required to define points along a curve, one for the X co-ordinate and another for the Y co-ordinate. Equations can be typed almost as they appear mathematically. A multiplier scales the X and Y co-ordinates. A FOR-NEXT loop around the pair of equations calculates each X/Y parameter for a given angle. If useful perhaps it could be added in future HardDisc4 image releases – just a thought! Vince Hudd of RISCOSITORY fame kindly tested the program and found a couple of issues which I’ve fixed. |

Correct Kevin: You already know this but the correct link is: http://www.riscosbasic.uk/problems/Butterfly.zip Did you get a chance to try it? Wouldn’t do for most people these days as most want high speed animated photographic quality imagery. |
