RISC OS apps on the OSM wiki

RiscOSM is now such an established application that it seemed to me a pity that a summary of its features did not appear on OpenStreetMap’s own wiki page listing desktop apps. So I checked with the Phillipses who agreed to take a look when time allowed, but that meanwhile I should feel free to make a first update. Accordingly, in November, I added a page on RISC OS to go alongshide other OSes, mentioning not only RiscOSM but also Nominatim, MapView and ProOSM+, as suggested by Hilary. The tables in the lists of Desktop apps now refer to RiscOSM, but not to the other apps because of my lack of knowledge. These pages are live and, as with other such wikis, any registered user with appropriate knowledge and editing care can improve their content. I could incorporate updates from others if people have suggestions for improvement but don’t want to tackle the wiki themselves. All in an effort to help RISC OS get positive mention in more places. |
