About half the time I shut down using c-s-f12 a message pops up saying “Use *Desktop to start filer” It is trivial to dismiss it and access the underlying Shutdown/Restart dialogue but I would like to know if it can be avoided. It generally happens after the machine has been running for bit and several windows are open. |

Not seen that one before. Sometimes I get… what is it… “Unable to move memory” or somesuch.
Yes, it seems to me that something isn’t shutting itself down properly. Thankfully some other people have seen this, so it isn’t my code. ;-) The strange thing is that your message is given in response to the command Quite how it is managing to get there at shutdown…? |
