Ctrl-Shift-F12

About half the time I shut down using c-s-f12 a message pops up saying “Use *Desktop to start filer”

It is trivial to dismiss it and access the underlying Shutdown/Restart dialogue but I would like to know if it can be avoided.
This happens on ARMX6 RO 5.25 but I am sure is not unique to this setup.

It generally happens after the machine has been running for bit and several windows are open.

Yes, it seems to me that something isn’t shutting itself down properly.

Thankfully some other people have seen this, so it isn’t my code. ;-)

The strange thing is that your message is given in response to the command *Desktop_Filer which is supposed to be issued by the Filer itself in response to the StartWimp Service Call (&49) [re: …RiscOS.Sources.Desktop.Filer.s.ModStuff Filer_Service ROUT].

Quite how it is managing to get there at shutdown…?
