DDE more available?

Can I ask ROOL for an update on something. At the 2019 South West Show ROOL brought up that they would like to make their development tools (DDE) more accessible, in terms of price to encourage more developers. How is this progressing? Can an update be given? Perhaps something could be said at the presentation at the upcoming show, assuming it is being recorded! (note this is a duplicate of a post on the ‘News’ item, I hadn’t realised that those posts are separate from the forum posts.) |

Hi Peter. There’s an announcement hot off the press which should help with this and I’ll be saying a bit more about it in the ROOL talk at the South West Show tomorrow. I’m looking forward to it! |

And when is it going to be open-sourced / free? |

Probably never, for legal reasons. |

Although copies for developers might be subsidised, as I understand it. |

Hi Steve, a few extra questions, they may have been answered in the talk at the show, but it appears that this isn’t online yet. 1) Is the NutPi version provided the current release (DDE29) ? |

I got the impression it was more a case of “persons of merit” – could be new with specific development ideas, could be oldies looking to get back into full flow. |
